There is no way to put off Auto Refresh in the Mesh / Links page.
I checked other pages as:
Mesh / Tunnels
Mesh / Nodes
and they have it

Should be the option

Please report it to bmx6-openwrt issues (http://bmx6.net/projects/bmx6-openwrt/issues). Also have in mind that from qMp 3.1 on, the default theme will be OpenWrt's Bootstrap one (not qmp-luci-theme).
