When the splash intercepts a request, it always returns a "200 OK" response, but maybe the original response of this request is a non "200 0K", e.g. "404 Not Found" or "302 Found".
Maybe a program could act in a different way depending on the response. e.g. the compilation of OpenWrt requests source code of a package, but if it doesn't find the code then it searches the code in another location.
